Independently formulated Olbers' Paradox at age 7, causing a sensation among my locality's science teachers as (unknown to me) the Big Bang vs. Steady State debate was raging at the time.

No physics beyond high school, but considerable reading of major physicists (Einstein, Guth, Vilenkin, Susskind, Davies, Greene, Smolin, etc.).
